About The Position

The Person In Charge (PIC) at Albertsons is responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service and managing the Front End operations in the absence of store management. This role involves supervising employees, handling customer inquiries and complaints, and making operational decisions to maximize efficiency and profitability. The PIC acts as a primary contact for customers and may also perform cashier duties, ensuring a smooth checkout process and maintaining store standards.

Requirements

• Demonstrated prior customer service skills or related experience.
• Ability to interact with customers and co-workers effectively.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Knowledge of all positions within the store.
• Ability to work independently.
• Prior experience as a clerk or manager is desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service as defined by the employer within company policy.
• Handle emergencies, customer complaints, and supervise all store personnel.
• Maintain familiarity with company policies and procedures.
• Supervise the sales floor to monitor service and product replenishment.
• Place stock in displays surrounding the checkout area.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment within the store.
• Assist cashiers with computer, register, and scanner problems.
• Perform basic office functions to assist customers and personnel.
• Operate the cash register to total customers' final bills.
• Receive payment for customer purchases and provide correct change.
• Bag groceries and assist customers with carry out when necessary.
• Complete close of day functions in the office as required.
• Count out of stock products and tills when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
