As an internship company, we allow flexibility to enroll in classes while working as an intern, as long as it doesn’t interfere with the essential functions of the position.

Requirements

  • Electrical or chemical engineering background preferred.
  • Technical or engineering degree (in progress is acceptable).
  • Experience in lab and workbench environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and hands-on.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency with MS programs and JMP software.
  • Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective jacket or apron and arm guards, and a condition of employment and continued employment (requires little or no facial hair) for those requiring respirator use.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous internship experience a plus.
  • Rapid prototyping and fabrication a plus.
  • Soldering experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Intern will work with project engineers to build and test solar panel prototype samples and project modules.
  • May include developing and executing new test methods and test structures, with an emphasis on bifacial or tandem perovskite solar photovoltaics.
  • Will primarily be working on establishing new protocols for eModule KPOs, standards, and best practices.
  • Upon the completion of this internship, the intern is required to present their accomplishments and project summary to the leadership team.
