A Permitting Co-Op/Intern at Mosaic for the Permitting Department is responsible for supporting the preparation of all applicable land use permits required for the minerals and concentrates operations.   • Project execution and management (including feasibility, scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, contractor management, etc.)
  • Review all aspects related to permitting projects, including working with various subject matter experts, consultants, legal counsel, the preparation of permit applications, on-site inspections, and support of the Operations staff
  • Prepare permit applications and other written deliverables
  • Collaborate with Mosaic's Procurement team in developing scope of works, preparing requests for quotes and proposals (RFQs/RFPs), listing potential bidders, conducting pre-bid meetings, evaluating bids, writing purchase orders, etc.
  • Interact with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers (of various disciplines), and contractors
  • Attend department meetings, meetings specific to the project assignment, and attend meetings with regulatory agencies while accompanied by your supervisor or other permitting staff
  • Adhere to Mosaic's mission, guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies
  • Sophomore level or higher pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Geology/Geotechnical Engineering
  • SAP Experience Preferred
  • 2.75 GPA or higher
  • 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is preferred
  • Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
  • Ability to work full time and be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship
  • Basic computer skills are required
  • Experience working in a team environment is a must
  • Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable
  • Effective verbal communication skills is a plus
