About The Position

ExecuPOWER is seeking a detail-oriented Permit Coordinator to support utility construction projects by managing the research, preparation, submission, and tracking of required permits. This role serves as a key liaison between internal project teams and external regulatory agencies, ensuring permit approvals align with project schedules and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate brings experience navigating state and municipal permitting processes, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple permits across concurrent utility projects.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in permit coordination or utility engineering projects.
  • Familiarity with state and municipal permitting processes, including PennDOT, township permits, and GPIS for Philadelphia.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and permit tracking systems.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify all required permits for utility construction projects, including PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permits, municipal road permits, and ADA ramp permits.
  • Prepare and submit permit applications to state and local agencies using platforms such as PennDOT's ePermitting system.
  • Track permit status, deadlines, and approvals to ensure timely project progression.
  • Maintain accurate records of permit applications, approvals, and supporting documentation.
  • Upload permits and related documents to project management systems such as WO Documents Tab and Asset Suite 8.
  • Act as the primary liaison between ExecuPOWER, regulatory agencies, and municipalities.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to align permitting requirements with project schedules.
  • Provide regular updates on permit status and proactively resolve issues that may delay approvals.
  • Stay informed of changes in permitting regulations and communicate updates to internal teams.
  • Ensure adherence to company standards and governing body requirements, including DelDOT utility regulations and environmental permit guidelines.
  • Maintain compliance with state, municipal, environmental, and safety regulations.
