GRPS MISSION : Our mission is to ensure that all students are educated, self-directed and productive members of society. The Permanent Substitute will work in the absence of a regular scheduled Food and Nutrition Services employees. Assignments will be made by the Supervisor of Food and Nutrition Services. Start and end times will vary. Shifts will include but not limited to: Utility & Production for Satellite and Secondary schools and the Nutrition Center.   • Perform all functions required by the assigned job as indicated by the supervisor
  • Assure proper food handling procedures are being followed
  • Maintain high standards of sanitation and safety in the food service area
  • Attend meetings conducted by the Food and Nutrition Services Director to increase knowledge and efficiency
  • Promote good working relationships with other school employees and the public
  • Interact with co-workers, administration, parents, and the community in a positive, supportive, and cooperative way
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Director of Food and Nutrition Services
  • Must have a working telephone and reliable transportation
  • Demonstrated ability to accomplish required work with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to accomplish work efficiently without direct supervision
  • Must possess the capability to maintain accurate ordering and inventory records
  • Must possess the ability to work in a professional/courteous manner with students and staff
  • Demonstrated ability to participate as a member of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse environment
