About The Position
Perishable Job Description Responsibilities The responsibilities of a Perishable Associate at Food Lion include: Providing quality customer service within the Perishable Department. Maintaining product standards and adhering to the standard practice manual. Maximizing sales through excellent customer service and minimizing shrinkage. Managing inventory and ensuring compliance with food safety and workplace safety guidelines. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment in the perishable department. Assisting with receiving and checking in deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality of products. Providing exceptional customer service by answering questions and assisting with product selection. Following all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the safety and well-being of customers. Collaborating with team members to ensure overall store cleanliness and organization. Continuously developing knowledge of products and staying informed about current promotions and sales. Assisting with maintaining accurate pricing and signage for products. Being a positive and professional representative of Food Lion, promoting the brand and values to customers. Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance job skills and knowledge. Adhering to all company policies and procedures , including safety protocols. Proactively identifying and reporting any potential safety hazards or concerns. Showing initiative and taking on additional responsibilities as needed to support the success of the perishable department and the store as a whole. Fostering a positive and inclusive work environment by treating all team members and customers with respect and dignity.
