About The Position

Renown Health, Northern Nevada's largest and only not-for-profit integrated healthcare network. The Renown Department of Surgery is recruiting an experienced board-certified Peripheral Vascular Surgeon with expertise in Endovascular Surgery to help build and lead our endovascular surgery program. The candidate will be practicing in the region's busiest full-service Heart and Vascular Institute and the only Level II Trauma Center serving a catchment area of over 900,000. The successful candidate will be a BE/BC Surgeon with Fellowship training in Peripheral Vascular Surgery. The candidate must be proficient in complex open and complex endovascular procedures. The candidate will join 4 other Peripheral Vascular surgeons and 4 dedicated First Assist APPs in the department of Vascular surgery. The Surgeon will provide services for patients in the community, work to elevate our Acute-Care Vascular Surgery program, develop and grow the endovascular surgery program, and support the growth of our ECMO program, Cardiovascular Service line, and Vascular Medicine program. The Surgeon will be expected to evaluate new inpatient consults and be comfortable in covering complex oncologic reconstructions and vascular trauma. Incumbents will also help develop and support the Vascular Surgery Outpatient Clinic seeing both pre- and post-op consults. Ideal candidates should be comfortable in the management of complex open vascular surgery and endovascular skills are a must. Our physicians teach Residents and Medical Students for the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine and have opportunity to conduct research and clinical trials. Renown Regional is a state-of-the-art, 700+ bed acute care facility with comprehensive and outpatient services and 24-hour emergency care.

Requirements

  • BE/BC Surgeon
  • Fellowship training in Peripheral Vascular Surgery
  • Proficient in complex open and complex endovascular procedures
  • Comfortable in the management of complex open vascular surgery
  • Endovascular skills are a must
