About The Position

This position is for a Perioperative Technician at Riddle Hospital, with available opportunities at Paoli Hospital. The role is an integral member of the Perioperative Team, working alongside Surgical Technicians, OR Nurses, Anesthesia, and Surgeons. The primary goal is to provide personal and environmental care and comfort to patients undergoing surgery. The technician is expected to be knowledgeable in the operation and care of specialized instruments and equipment used by the surgical and anesthesia teams. Key responsibilities include patient positioning, lifting, and transferring, as well as maintaining a sterile environment by cleaning and sterilizing the Operating Room and its equipment after procedures. Additionally, the role involves transporting specimens, managing inventory, and ensuring adequate supply levels.

Requirements

• Previous Operating Room, anesthesia tech or related Health Care experience required
• Must be available to take call rotation weeknights and weekends
• Must live within 30 minutes of Paoli, Pennsylvania
• High School diploma or GED required
• Provider BLS (American Heart Assoc/American Red Cross) required

Responsibilities

• Provide personal and environmental care and comfort to patients undergoing surgery
• Be knowledgeable in the operation and care of specialized instruments and equipment used by Surgical and Anesthesia team
• Position, lift, and/or transfer patients
• Clean and sterilize the Operating Room and OR equipment after each procedure
• Help transport specimens
• Manage inventory
• Maintain adequate supply levels
• Take call rotation weeknights and weekends
