About The Position
Under general supervision, performs routine perioperative procedures, which are required before surgery. Provides support to the physicians, nursing staff, Assistant & Clinical Manager, PCS and Director of Perioperative and Anesthesia Services. The Perioperative Technician will keep abreast of surgical boarding for the Anesthesia department. Maintains professionalism in dealings with patients and families. Skilled in performing routine EKG's and phlebotomy to obtain blood specimens from adults, children and infants and starting IVs on patients older than 12 years of age.
