About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to clean and maintain the Operating rooms as well as all equipment; secure supplies for OR team, and restock rooms. Patient care will include positioning, transferring and transporting patients within the various areas within Perioperative Services.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• BLS (American Heart Association) within 30 days from the date of hire.
• Less than one (1) year of patient care (i.e. nursing assistant/surgical tech/ MA), Supply chain, Operating Room or relevant medical equipment experience
• Customer Service skills.
• Must possess manual dexterity, computer skills, and be able to work under pressure.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to read, spell and do simple math, write clearly and understand written and oral instructions.
• Need to have effective computer skills, including typing, and use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Demonstrates teamwork and communicates in a professional manner with all members of the healthcare team
• Demonstrates a willingness to learn new methods, procedures and techniques resulting from departmental or organization change.
• Adapts quickly and easily to change and adjusted behavior and approach to work when necessary to achieve goals.

Nice To Haves

• CNA, or PCA, or MA
• 3-5 years patient care, Supply Chain, OR, or relevant medical equipment experience
