About The Position

The Perioperative Services Coordinator manages the materials, supplies, equipment, and environment within the unit. This includes ordering supplies, processing purchase orders, and assisting with the selection of supplies, equipment and instruments. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure sufficient equipment and supply availability on each unit. Additionally, this position is responsible for maintaining all unit equipment in working condition. This position is also responsible for conducting unit safety rounds and for resolving any safety or aesthetic environmental problems within the unit. This position supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital through its focus on improving the experience of the patient As a “Supply Chain Tech” you will: Provide high-level customer service by addressing patients and provider inquiries with professionalism and urgency. Need to be able to troubleshoot needs and priority and work with clinical staff when necessary. Support workflow, work with nursing floors to prepare patients to come down for procedures. Serves as a central point of contact for patients, surgeons, anesthesia providers and perioperative staff to promote efficiency, accuracy and exceptional patient and customer experience. Ensuring the seamless coordination of the surgical services working with perioperative staff, ensuring procedure readiness.

Requirements

  • Background in healthcare, medical office preferred
  • Strong organizational skills, time management skills in a fast paced environment
  • Phone skills, computer skills, working knowledge of some medical and surgical terminology
  • Exposure to systems processing
  • Ability to work collaboratively and accept delegated tasks as assigned
  • Ability to anticipate the needs of the unit
  • Mastery of Word, Excel, Power Point applications
