About The Position

Serve as a clinical, quality, evidence-based practice and patient safety expert. Develop caregivers in specific clinical areas in collaboration with clinical leaders. Drives nursing quality indicators and evidence-based practice guidelines to improve patient outcomes. Partner with clinical leaders to serve as a resource and supports caregivers to improve outcomes. Assists in identifying opportunities to improve quality and safety outcomes. Collaborate with clinical leaders and clinical professional development in identifying gaps and developing plans to improve professional growth, skills and competencies. Support clinical leaders in aggregating and interpreting various quality/patient safety data with a focus on using data to drive improved care outcomes and nursing practice. Guide the implementation of Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) projects, including the revision of order sets and practice guidelines at the unit or division level. Aides in the analysis of research outcomes and devises strategies for their incorporation into evidence-based clinical practice guidelines. Conduct unit rounds with a focus on coaching and mentoring in partnership with clinical leadership.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Red Cross or American Heart Association accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school/college of nursing required.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN STRONGLY preferred
  • 2 years of procedure RN experience OR, ENDO, Cath lab STRONGLY preferred.
  • M-F 7-3pm
