Job Description Schedule: M-F 0800-1630 I. JOB SUMMARY The Perioperative Nurse Extender Technician (PNE) actively participates as a member of the patient care team under the supervision of the patient care team leader and under the direction of the Department Director. The PNE tech performs patient care tasks and supports department administrative processes. II. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Reports pertinent patient information to the Registered Nurse in order to provide the Nurse the information necessary to plan individualized care Assist with transferring of patients to and from the operating room table Assists the Operating Room Team in patient positioning as needed Cleans the Operating Room Suite between cases after the patient leaves for PACU Assists anesthesia with the OR turnover as needed and ensures the anesthesia carts are stocked Maintains a clean work environment Attends in-services and staff meetings Responds to calls in a timely manner Performs other duties as assigned Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position III. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent and/or equivalent working knowledge
BLS upon hire
