About The Position

This part time position is for 8 hour shifts, 32 hours per week. Schedule is dictated by the surgery schedule. While this is primary to day shift, call rotation is a required and expected piece of the position. The applicant must be within 45 minutes of the facility at all times while on call. The position reports to the Director of Surgical Services.

Requirements

• Currently licensed to practice in the State of Ohio, as a Registered Nurse.
• Associates Degree in Nursing, BSN preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Current ACLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year OR experience required.
• Minimum of 1 year OR Circulator experience required.
• 1 year Critical Care experience required.
• On-Call, 45-minute response time required.

Nice To Haves

• Completed PERIOP 101 preferred, but not required.
• CNOR Certification preferred, but not required.
• PICC line placement preferred.
• Medical Surgical experience in an acute care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process in providing nursing care to patients in all settings in collaboration with other health care providers.
• Accountable for professional development and practice within the scope of care defined by law.
• Perform nursing care functions as required.
• Cross train in other perioperative services departments.
• Complete assigned course work as deemed necessary.
• Complete or test out of a basic Electrocardiogram Course.
• Perform all other jobs as assigned.
