The PeriOp Support Supervisor oversees an assigned group of staff and assists the manager in coordinating and evaluating the daily patient surgical schedule with the charge nurse, physician, and staff nurse. This role ensures that instrumentation and supplies are verified according to preference cards and added to case carts before entering the Operating Room. It also involves coordinating special patient order instruments, implants, and supplies with material management and Central Sterile Processing Departments, and ensuring that appropriate specialty equipment is available and placed in each OR prior to scheduled procedures.
