About The Position

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital is responsible for independently planning and providing professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders, established guidelines, and the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations
• Must hold American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)

Nice To Haves

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN)
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units

Responsibilities

• Independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients
• Provides professional nursing care in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines
• Provides professional nursing care in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act
