About The Position

Baytown Periodontics is seeking a full-time Periodontal and Dental Implant Treatment Coordinator to manage patient interactions and treatment plans in a specialty dental practice. This role is essential for ensuring patients understand their treatment options and receive high-quality care. The ideal candidate will be customer service-oriented, organized, and possess strong communication skills to effectively coordinate treatment and liaise with clinical teams and referring doctors.

Requirements

  • Must have some dental front office experience (receptionist, treatment coordinator, office manager, insurance coordinator, or in dental billing).
  • Previous experience coordinating treatment in a specialty office (Periodontics, Oral Surgery, or Prosthodontics).
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred; English proficiency is a must.
  • Excellent typing skills and ability to navigate the internet.
  • Strong background in treatment coordination for large cases, such as full-arch implant-supported dentures.

Nice To Haves

  • Management experience (1 year preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for periodontal patients throughout their treatment experience, including scheduling and managing appointments.
  • Help develop and present treatment options and financial information to patients for both standard and complex cases.
  • Present and explain detailed treatment plans and answer patient questions regarding their care.
  • Work with the clinical team to ensure accurate documentation and communication regarding patient care.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, especially with large, multi-phase treatment cases.
  • Proficiency with Dentrix dental practice management software and Pearl (AI).
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment alongside specialists.
  • Be detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to patient care and comfort.
  • Manage patient records and assist with insurance verification, treatment authorizations, and timely collection of planned payments.
