We invite you to join our team of highly skilled Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialists, genetic counselors, perinatal nurses, and fetal cardiologists in a positive, collaborative, academic environment dedicated to delivering world class, patient-centered prenatal care in beautiful San Diego. At UC San Diego Maternal Fetal Care and Genetics, we invest in you, with opportunities for professional growth and development: Biweekly Fetal Medicine Conferences and quarterly Quality Assurance meetings (earn up to 2.5 CMEs per month). Additional education funding for CME travel and registration fees provided every other year. Learn advanced imaging techniques including 3D/4D and microvascular Doppler flow imaging (SlowFlowHD). Perform ultrasound guided invasive procedures. Opportunity to learn Fetal Echocardiography (FE) and earn Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) FE credential working alongside both fetal cardiologists and MFM specialists. Teach fellows, residents, and ultrasound students. Exposure to new and ongoing research projects with opportunities for publication and presenting at local and national CME conferences. The Perinatal Sonographer workload and workspace have been carefully designed to reduce the risk of work related injuries. Scanning 6-8 patients per day on average using premium GE Voluson ultrasound systems at all sites. Large, ergonomically designed ultrasound suites and workstations.
