About The Position

We have 2-3 open IOP Behavioral Health Counselor positions within the Perinatal, Reproductive, and Early Childhood Section. These positions are a mix of FTE in our Virtual Perinatal Intensive Outpatient Program (PIPER) and our new Perinatal Substance Use Intensive Outpatient Services. This position is part time, up to .49 FTE and can be stand alone or supplemented by outpatient therapy. The primary responsibility of this clinician is to provide clinical care for individuals, infants, and families in the perinatal period including intake evaluations, individual and group therapy, documentation, and attendance at team meetings. Additional responsibilities include coverage of group therapy activities within the Perinatal Mental Health IOP during early development or clinician PTO and providing brief counselling services.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Addictions, Psychology, or Related Field.
  • Active Colorado License for LPC, LCSW, or LAC.
  • 1+ years clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience working in perinatal mental health clinical work, public health, early childhood and/or related fields.

  • Circle of Security Training

  • Experience with and/or training in group therapy modalities
  • Knowledge and experience of ASAM Criteria and Assessments

Responsibilities

  • Conducts comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for patients referred to the intensive outpatient programs.
  • Provide group or individual therapy services as needed.
  • Documents patient encounters in a timely manner and in compliance with all institutional requirements.
  • Maintains a good working relationship and ongoing communication with referral sources and other members of the treatment team.
  • Promotes a positive working environment .
  • Support clinical research and innovation activities for perinatal mental health populations.
