We invite you to join our Perinatal Education team as a Perinatal Educator. The Perinatal Educator for Scripps Center for Community Health and Advocacy is a Certified Childbirth Educator and/or a Certified Lactation Educator. In addition, they are responsible for: · Teaching standardized perinatal education programs throughout the Scripps Healthcare System. · The Educator is an active team member who works closely with the Lead Perinatal Educator and Supervisor in the development of and implementation of perinatal education programs. · The Educator performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Accomplished adult and/or child teaching skills, excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to function with minimal supervision, bilingual an advantage, strong personal and professional commitment to adult and/or child education programming.
• Previous experience with adult and/or child learning systems/theory.
• Certified Childbirth Educator and/or Certified Lactation Educator with one year teaching experience in Perinatal Education.
• Childbirth Education and/or Lactation Educator certification.

Nice To Haves

• Baccalaureate degree in nursing, education or another field.
