About The Position
The POA Intra-operative position involves providing service support for assigned Operating Room (O.R.) areas under general supervision and following established policies and procedures. Responsibilities include patient transport, preparation and cleaning of the operating room, cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilization of equipment, and assisting O.R. personnel in the positioning and maintenance of patient safety. The POA Pre/post-operative role also operates under the general supervision of a registered nurse, assisting the healthcare team with specific patient care duties to meet the safety and comfort needs of patients. The position requires responding to emergent situations according to established procedures and providing service support related to building services, patient transport, and patient preparation. Continuous education and reporting to the Supervisor/Manager/Director are also part of the role.
