Requirements

Bachelors of Science in Perfusion, other Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree required
Must obtain ABCP certification within 1 year of hire date
Experience as a Perfusionist, in a student capacity or independent practitioner

Responsibilities

Provides functions necessary for the support, treatment, measurement or supplementation of the cardiopulmonary and circulatory system of the patient.
Operates extracorporeal circulation equipment during any medical situation where it is necessary to support or replace the patient's cardiopulmonary/circulatory function and ensures the proper management of physiologic functions by monitoring the necessary variables.
Prepares and administers blood products and prescription solutions through bypass circuitry.
Regularly participates in the on call schedule
