Performs clinical cardiopulmonary bypass during cardiac surgery, hypothermic re-warming, intraperitoneal hyperthermia, PRP, plasma pheresis, and extracorporeal circulation during LVAD/RVAD procedures on patients adolescent through elderly. In addition to these duties, this position stands by for off pump cardiac procedures.

Requirements

• Current certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusionists.
• Bachelor’s degree and graduate of an accredited cardiopulmonary perfusion training program and ability to obtain certification within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical cardiopulmonary bypass during cardiac surgery
• Performs hypothermic re-warming
• Performs intraperitoneal hyperthermia
• Performs PRP
• Performs plasma pheresis
• Performs extracorporeal circulation during LVAD/RVAD procedures on patients adolescent through elderly
• Stands by for off pump cardiac procedures
