About The Position

The City of Raleigh is seeking a part-time Performing Arts Stage Technician to support various events at the Raleigh Convention & Performing Arts Complex. This role is flexible and based on client needs, welcoming candidates of all skill levels to assist in areas such as lighting, audio, video, scenic, properties, and wardrobe. The position requires availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Requirements

• Knowledge of commonly used theatrical terminology, methods, materials and fasteners is necessary for some roles but not required for entry level responsibilities.
• Experience in a theatrical, construction or manufacturing environment is necessary for some roles but not required for entry level responsibilities.
• Effective communication skills, including attentiveness and the ability to interpret directions.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and basic portable power tools as applicable.
• Basic math and measuring skills.
• Ability to work effectively at height or in low light situations.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities
