About The Position

This position requires someone to be in a hybrid office work setting in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, or Dallas, TX. CGI is looking for strong Performance Test Engineer Lead who will be responsible to work as individual contributor as well as manage and mentor performance test team onshore / offshore. The person should be able to handle multiple performance test projects. Support / Coordinate end-to-end performance test lifecycle and work hands on deliverables. Ideal candidate should be able to develop Performance Test framework and work on creating assets/accelerators. The role demands expertise on Performance tools like Apache JMeter, Load Runner, etc.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working with Apache Jmeter/Load Runner/Performance Center or work experience using HTTP/HTML, Web Services protocols.
  • 3-5 years of experience leading a Performance Test Team
  • 5+ years' experience in Monitoring Tools(Dynatrace, AppDynamics..) and Reporting Tool (LR Analysis/Kibana/Grafana..).
  • Good hands on with C/Java/Groovy Programing
  • Understanding of modern architectures, cloud, server-side metrics and performance issues
  • Understanding of Virtualization - Virtual Service Catalog / Stubs.
  • Should have good exposure in creating simple/medium/complex SQL queries.
  • Other Webservices test tools like - Postman/SoapUI/Swagger
  • Good exposure to agile testing process.
  • Candidate should be excellent in testing process, defect management.
  • Should have excellent communication skill to manage day to day interactions with agile team.
  • Good understanding of Agile project management/ DevOps tools.
  • Good experience in Performance Monitoring (Dynatrace/AppDynamics) and Performance Reporting (LR Analysis/Kibana/Grafana)
  • Working knowledge on DevOps/CICD pipeline Integration with tests for modern Architecture (3 tier/Microservices/Hybrid/Cloud) applications
  • Should have good exposure in working with DB and can able to prepare SQL queries to monitor the load.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the stakeholders such as Product Owner, Developers and Project Managers to understand the non-functional requirements.
  • Lead overall Performance Engineering deliverables of assigned project from inception to deployment. Acts Single point of Contact for PE efforts for the assigned module/application.
  • Expertise in collecting Non-Functional requirements, load modeling, build and maintain Performance Test Suit for the assigned modules.
  • Performance Testing using Apache Jmeter or Load Runner/Performance Center for planned releases, incorporating various tests like load, stress, endurance, scalability and resiliency.
  • As a member of agile team, participate in all ceremonies, scrum calls, demos and planning sessions.
  • Maintain constant communication with BA's, LOB and Offshore counterparts.
