As a Performance Specialist at EXOS, you will play a crucial role in guiding clients towards achieving their health and fitness goals. Your primary responsibilities will include instructing, motivating, and assisting clients in a safe and ethical manner. You will conduct on-site assessments of clients' health using proprietary evaluation protocols and update training plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. Maintaining constant communication with clients is essential to ensure their goals are being met, and you will partner with employers to conduct various client engagement and educational activities, such as lunch & learns and information fairs. In addition to client interaction, you will present EXOS methodology through education programs and report various metrics to operations, including attendance and engagement levels. Participation in program planning and development, as well as leading staff education on EXOS methodology, will also be part of your role. You are expected to perform all aspects of your position professionally and maintain your professional credentials by attending necessary continuing education courses. Some travel may be required for this position. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of personal training or strength coaching experience, or have completed the EXOS Performance Specialist Internship. A Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Sports Science, or a related field is required, along with current industry certification, preferably NSCA-CSCS or NASM. Excellent presentation and customer service skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You should also possess strong communication skills and experience in teaching group fitness classes, with a focus on improving technique and ability. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and perform various movements such as bending, stretching, and squatting throughout the workday.
