About The Position

As a member of the Arizona Cardinals Nutrition Services Department, the Performance Nutrition Associate is responsible for assisting with the overall meal service operation of team during all phases of the year. The Performance Nutrition Associate will execute day-to-day nutrition operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in dietetics/nutrition or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Registered Dietitian (RDN) or on track to obtain Registered Dietitian (RDN) or Registered Dietitian Technician Registered (DTR) credential through Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • At least one (1) year of food service experience, preferably with customer service experience working directly with customers in addition to food production.
  • Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities and meet required deadlines.
  • Food handler’s card required by start of employment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, preferably experience with TeamWorks/Notemeal, Red Card, and Canva.
  • Experience and ability to contribute to a healthy team environment.
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and sensitivity around professional athletes in their work environment.
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to eight (8) hours in length.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; hours may vary depending on business needs.
  • Must complete all pre-employment forms and successfully pass a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Sports Dietitians with daily duties and on-going projects for optimal fueling of the Arizona Cardinals.
  • Assist in day-to-day operations of the fueling station, including but not limited to transporting, stocking and inventory of nutritional products regularly.
  • Create educational handouts and additional signage as deemed necessary by Sports Dietitians.
  • Facilitate in the preparation and delivery of nutritional supplements, smoothies, and fueling station food items for players as needed/appropriate.
  • Sport assignments or game day operations as needed.
  • Participate in team meals, afternoon/nighttime snacks, and nutritional and hydration needs for practice (pre-fuel, refuel, personalized hydration, etc).
  • Assists with pre- and post-workout/practice fueling and hydration.
  • Develop and design educational materials and manuals using Canva and PowerPoint.
  • Other duties as assigned.
