About The Position

Your job is more than a job The Clinical Process Improvement Specialist II leads multiple improvement projects concurrently, applying Lean and Six Sigma tools to reduce variation, eliminate waste, and enhance reliability of clinical processes. This role performs data analysis, leads root-cause investigations, facilitates improvement events, and develops sustainable solutions with measurable results. The Clinical Process Specialist II collaborates closely with leadership to support strategic initiatives and ensure standardization across departments.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in quality improvement, clinical operations, healthcare project management, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading improvement projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field required.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification within 6-12 months of hire
  • Advanced knowledge of continuous improvement principles (Lean, PDSA, etc.)
  • Demonstrated communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or similar certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead medium-scale improvement projects, including project scoping, charter development, and execution
  • Conduct data analyses tests appropriate for Green Belt level Specialist (trend analysis, control charts, etc.)
  • Facilitate structured problem-solving activities with interdisciplinary teams
  • Lead workflow mapping, gap analyses, and redesign sessions
  • Identify improvement opportunities using data, audits, and observations
  • Develop and monitor project KPIs and outcome metrics
  • Implement standard work and support sustainment plans
  • Prepare and deliver progress reports, presentations, and recommendations to leadership
  • Conduct root-cause analyses
  • Facilitate Lean events such as kaizen workshops and rapid improvement cycles
  • Support frontline staff with change adoption and ensure communication throughout the project lifecycle
  • Serve as an internal consultant and resource to departments working on process improvement
