About The Position

Direct, plan and supervise activities of hospital performance improvement program. Plans, facilitates and provides updates to the hospital and medical staff on hospital performance through a variety of intermediary and other projects including the QIO, IHI and Premier/Care Discovery. Coordinates medical staff peer review process. Facilitate hospital wide performance improvement by conducting teams including FMEA's and Process Analysis Teams. Responsible to provide direction, planning and supervision of the quality measures nurse(s) and core measure data abstraction process. Prepares and presents to hospital and medical staff committees quality measures and other PI data on an ongoing basis. Responsible to support the hospital's continual readiness program through staff and physician education, yearly review of standards, mock surveys and survey coordination. Responsible to use a variety of IT systems to conduct complex data analysis using multiple internal and external databases and advanced statistical tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Nursing - BSN.
  • 5 years acute care hospital experience required.
  • 2 years of prior Performance Improvement experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Registered Nurse
  • NAHQ Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality.
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality or attainment within 2 years of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory or accreditation survey experience preferred.
