Ready to join our quest for better?Job DescriptionThe Performance Improvement Leader I reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.This role is responsible for leading process improvement and project management efforts at Northwestern Memorial HealthCare. PILs support project teams in achieving health system, regional and local priorities that advance the implementation of the strategy for Northwestern Medicine. PILs use meeting facilitation, data analysis, change management, project planning and other skills in advancing these efforts.

  • Act as a change agent in leading project teams at NMHC.
  • Apply NMHC project management, process improvement and change management methodologies.
  • Apply analytical skills, tools and techniques to improvement efforts.
  • Identify, develop and implement key process and outcome measures.
  • Collaborate with other system functions as required on projects (e.g., IT, Quality, Analytics, Patient Experience, etc.).
  • Coach leaders on the application of improvement methods and/or general performance best practices.
  • Participate in system-wide training efforts on improvement methods.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1-3 years of project management/performance improvement related experience
  • Analytical skills
  • Facilitation / presentation skills
  • High level of energy and enthusiasm
  • Proven software competencies (MS Office Suite, and project management applications)
  • Flexible/adaptable - ability to work with diverse group of healthcare professionals in a matrix environment
  • MBA/MHA
  • Experience with Mini-Tab, Matlab, Statistical Software
