About The Position

River Park Hospital, a 165-bed facility and a leader in behavioral health care, located in Huntington, WV has an opening for a Performance Improvement Director River Park provides acute inpatient services to children, adolescents, adults and seniors and features a 22-bed residential treatment program for children, adolescents, and a 25-bed adult forensic unit. River Park was recently recognized as a Top Performer by Joint Commission and maintains the highest standards for quality care. The Director of Performance Improvement is responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring and analysis of performance improvement projects and activities with a focus on improving patient safety and quality of care. The Director Performance Improvement sets priorities for improvements aligned to ongoing strategic initiatives. Leads and directs process improvement activities that provide more efficient and streamlined workflow in the hospital. The Director of Performance Improvement is responsible for coordinating an organization–wide approach to continual compliance with all appropriate regulatory and licensing standards. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in nursing, social work, mental health/behavioral sciences, or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience directing performance improvement and risk management activities in a hospital, psychiatric hospital, or mental health treatment setting preferred.
  • Knowledgeable regarding Joint Commission accreditation standards.
  • Experience interpreting State and Federal standards related to hospital operations preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • RN or LMSW licensure preferred
