About The Position

Driven Brand’s Automotive Training Institute group is looking for a Driven Collision Performance Coach who wants to make a difference! Reporting to the Team Leader, Collision and supporting our Automotive Training Institute segment, this role is responsible for providing an analysis of the existing practices of a member’s automotive collision shop and making recommendations for improvements based on ATI’s best practices and techniques. They will provide coaching, consultation, and mentoring to our members in order for them to achieve their business goals and dreams. You will guide members through the building blocks that turn their automotive shop into a profitable and efficient business via our 48-month reengineering program and alumni programs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years overall automotive experience with a strong focus on collision damage analysis writing, shop management, operations management, or previous shop ownership.
  • Operations management experience involving established internal structure and processes.
  • Solid automotive business acumen/understanding.
  • Ability to influence others over the telephone and videoconferencing.
  • Minimum 4+ years of teaching, instructing, and mentoring small business owners or employees.
  • Track record of consultative management, people development, and business management.
  • Computer proficiency, particularly in Word and Excel; Knowledge of Salesforce CRM is strongly preferred.
  • Accounting or P&L experience.
  • Marketing and online/social media experience.
  • Writing skills with an interest in writing articles for industry magazines.
  • Solid understanding of how to recruit and retain high-quality employees at all levels of experience.
  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and persuasion skills.

Responsibilities

  • Listen, including active listening, to the needs of the shop owners to help them turn their shop into a profitable and efficient business.
  • Communicate to understand what members wish to improve or correct about their business via phone, zoom and email.
  • Review financial statements, evaluate competitors, and analyze business practices.
  • Develop a new business model or prepare recommendations and present them to the client.
  • Display a professional but assertive and results-oriented approach with strong mentoring skills.
  • Consult, train, mentor and coach clients to help them achieve their business goals and dreams.
  • Guide clients through the building blocks that create the foundation of a profitable business.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction in the program (CSI Scores).
  • Monitor and measure performance and progress through Report Cards/Road Map.
  • Ensure class attendance by the client and staff.
  • Monitor the status of where the member is in the program at all times.
  • Complete administrative duties including Startup Agreement paperwork and clear weekly notes.
  • Provide research and content for articles, classroom, and training material.
  • Participate in weekly Coaches meetings and be aware of trends in other service-related industries.
  • Attend Shop Owner’s Dinner Events, Annual Super Conference and industry related partnership events.
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual company meetings.
  • Attend ATI classes quarterly.
  • Possibly facilitate an ATI Peer group or Performance Group.
  • Participate in other modalities such as Live @ 9, podcasts, owner events, industry presentations, and tradeshows.
