I2X Technologies is seeking a Performance Assessment Engineer to support ongoing activities for a customer in Huntsville, AL. This position will be on-site and will require an active Secret clearance. Primary focus on software development including the creation of post processing analysis tools/visualizations used to assess and analyze performance. Write performant Java and Python code; refactor legacy components to improve scalability, latency, and resource utilization. Conduct deep dive performance studies, generate actionable insights, and recommend architecture or algorithmic improvements. Maintain and evolve the Jenkins/HTCondor automation platform: create, maintain, and troubleshoot pipeline jobs, scripts, and plugins. Collaborate across teams to understand and perform high level analysis of program performance. Analysis Document/Brief creation and presentation. Keep the suite of program analysis utilities, visualization dashboards, and data exploration notebooks up to date and well documented. Translate existing MATLAB tools into Java/Python. Stay current with emerging Java/Python performance techniques, CI/CD tools, and database technologies; proactively introduce improvements.

Requirements

Career level typically with an advanced degree and 3+ years experience or bachelors with 5+ years experience or equivalent
Active Secret clearance
Relevant applied experience in Software Engineering and addition skills such as: Programming languages including Java, C++, Python, data base management, networking or data communications
Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Must have experience producing tooling and products to assist the with the analysis or assessment of a system or project is desired preferably in Java and Python languages
US Citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

Experience with DevOps related tooling (Jenkins, HTCondor, GitLab, etc) is desired
Familiarity with applying statistical distributions in hypothesis testing, model validation, inferential statistics, confidence-interval estimation, and the interpretation of goodness-of-fit tests is preferred
Experience with performing systems engineering for DoD Information Systems is desirable
Experience with creating and briefing chart packages for tooling or analysis performed
