About the position

The Performance and Engagement Specialist plays a key role in supporting and implementing initiatives related to associate engagement, talent management, and talent acquisition. This position involves gathering and analyzing associate data to drive HR strategies and enhance the associate experience. Collaboration with HR leadership, hiring managers, and associates is essential to cultivate an engaging and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively communicate with associates to build rapport and foster positive relationships.
  • Support the design and implementation of employee engagement and engagement programs.
  • Coordinate regular employee surveys, focus groups, and feedback initiatives; analyze results to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Develop and implement associate engagement programs, outreaches and initiatives.
  • Assist in planning and executing recognition programs, wellness activities, and engagement events.
  • Analyze associate engagement data to identify trends, patterns, and address potential reasons for associate turnover.
  • Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR programs, policies, and opportunities.
  • Work closely with HR team members and management to align engagement and talent strategies with organizational goals.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance HR processes and programs.
  • Collect, clean, and analyze HR data related to engagement and talent management using HRIS and analytics tools.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to associate satisfaction and engagement.
  • Develop dashboards and visualizations to communicate key HR metrics and insights to stakeholders.
  • Generate regular and ad hoc reports to support data-driven decision-making in HR.
  • Assist with onboarding activities to ensure a positive new hire experience.
  • Maintain recruitment data and support reporting on hiring metrics.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee performance evaluations, turnover, and career development plans.
  • Support succession planning by maintaining talent databases and tracking employee progress.
  • Assist in design and administration of performance management systems, projects, and initiatives.
  • Potentially work with Training and Talent Development to coordinate associate development programs pertaining to performance management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or 2 to 5 years of experience in Human Resources or Multifamily Management is preferred.
  • Previous experience in building talent management and engagement strategies is preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills and full utilization of Microsoft Office is required.
  • Experience in Paylocity, and Google Suite is preferred.
  • Experience in Social Media-related platforms, such as LinkedIn and Canva is preferred.
  • Being bilingual in Spanish is ideal.
  • Strong data and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities; able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Knowledge of talent management and employee engagement best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with no major infractions in the last 12 months.
