Description Evaluates and treats patients referred for speech, language, cognitive, and dysphagia dysfunction. Responsibilities Roles & Responsibilities: Candidate will be responsible for covering the adult inpatient floors Will provide services that evaluate and treat patients for speech, language and cognition, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders Must be familiar with tracheotomy and vent dependent patients as well as Passy Muir valve evaluations and treatment Communicates findings and concerns related to patient care to other members of disciplinary team. This includes, but is not limited to, MD’s, clinical nutrition staff, nursing staff, PA’s, radiology staff. Ability to perform objective testing preferred. Ability to perform Modified Barium Swallow Study/Video Fluoroscopy and FEES preferred Qualifications Requirements: Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology required New York State Speech-Language Pathology license required BLS certification required (American Heart Association) ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency as well as previous experience in acute care or related medical setting Compensation Statement The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $70.62 - $70.62 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need.
