About The Position

The Per Diem Sonographer position at Alliance OBGYN involves providing high-quality obstetric and gynecological ultrasound services to patients. The sonographer will work closely with physicians to communicate results and implement care plans, while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited sonography program.
• Possession of valid credentials, including nuchal translucency (NT) credentials or completion of NT program within designated timeframe after hire.
• Experience in an ambulatory setting preferred.
• Necessary visual and auditory acuity to monitor patient's condition and operate department equipment.
• Demonstrate a positive team attitude and possess effective interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Windows-based computer programs.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and knowledge of HIPAA regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a clinical setting with direct patient care.
• Additional certifications in ultrasound specialties.

Responsibilities

• Perform obstetric and gynecological ultrasounds for provider review.
• Utilize specialized ultrasonography knowledge and exercise discriminative judgment in patient care.
• Maintain awareness of HIPAA regulations and ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Replenish, maintain, and keep the work area neat and organized.
• Report any equipment issues and malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Provide a safe and supportive atmosphere for patients.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in case studies and reviews during department meetings.
• Ensure adequate and complete reporting and charting for each exam performed.
• Communicate patient results to physicians and implement care as directed.
• Maintain good working relationships and open communication with practice administration and physicians.
• Maintain membership in local, state, and national agencies and keep all necessary credentialing up to date.
