The RTC Registered nurse is responsible for applying clinical nursing knowledge and skills to promote the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational, and professional standards. This position will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide exceptional care to RTC patients through education, nursing assessment, and administration of medication. The RTC Registered Nurse assesses physiological and psychosocial needs, implements nursing interventions, and communicates patient concerns to the healthcare team. Requirements

  • Associate degree in Nursing
  • Valid and current Texas RN license
  • BLS through American Heart Association
  • ACLS within 3 months of employment
  • 5+ years RN experience OR 2+ years in ICU and/or Emergency Department
  • Completion annually of 10 CEU’s related to Emergency Care
  • Able to use equipment and related supplies for selected patient population and for CPR, oxygen administration, and intravenous therapy
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Experience with EMRs

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor degree in Nursing
  • ICU experience or 5+ years of experience in Emergency Department
  • ACLS
  • CCRN
  • EPIC experience
  • IV access experience
  • Port access experience
