About the position

The Per Diem RN II is responsible for providing direct nursing care by applying clinical nursing knowledge and skills, and for ensuring the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients.
• Apply clinical nursing knowledge and skills.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of patients and families.
• Adhere to legal, organizational, and professional standards.

Requirements

• Graduate from an approved RN nursing program.
• 3 years of RN experience.
• Valid and current Texas RN license.
• Current BLS through American Heart Association.
• Able to use equipment and related supplies for selected patient population and for CPR, oxygen administration, and intravenous therapy.
• CRT experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing.
• Specialty nursing certification appropriate to specialty area assigned.
• Windows based computer skills.
• ACLS.
