The Radiology Technologist performs diagnostic medical radiographic procedures and studies with a thorough understanding of standard radiography and fluoroscopy. The technologist must be able to assist the physician, interpret orders and explain procedures to RN’s, patients, and families. They must have a thorough understanding of the Radiology Department operations to assist non-technical staff in processing paperwork, films and expediting patient transportation.

  • Performs radiographic examinations.
  • Performs the duties of Radiological Technologist.
  • Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas.
  • Prepares room and equipment for patients.
  • Processes images and sends them to PACS for interpretation.
  • Restocks rooms with essential supplies.
  • Picks up clean linen and delivers soiled linen to drop off.
  • Does QA/QC for X-Ray.
  • Ability to speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, internet, e-mail).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Follows Palomar Health Medical Group rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws, and standards.
  • Carries out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Palomar Health Medical Group.
  • Minimum Education: High School or equivalent, graduate from accredited radiologic technology program.
  • Minimum Experience: 0-6 months.
  • Required License: ARRT, CRT, Fluoroscopy license.
  • Required Certification: CPR.
