About The Position
As Administrative Agent for the Program, VitalCheck Wellness is seeking a Physician to provide the following Services to one or more clients of the Program: A Physician to provide onsite wellness checkups and participate in a structured multi-week treatment and coaching program for Chronic Metabolic Diseases (i.e Pre-diabetes, Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia, Obesity) with specific exclusion of Diabetes, designed to improve their wellness and lifestyle. We handle all patient appointments and administrative work, allowing you to focus entirely on one-on-one clinical patient care. This is an excellent opportunity to practice preventive and personalized medicine in a supportive, structured setting. VitalCheck does not provide medical care and does not control clinical decision‑making. Doctors In Your Office Program Description VitalCheck Wellness Inc. (”VitalCheck”) is the administrative agent (the “Administrative Agent”) for the VitalCheck-Doctors In Your Office Program (the “Program”) pursuant to which independent healthcare providers and healthcare providers employed by hospitals and independent medical practices provide healthcare services to clients at various sites to detect and prevent illness, disease and to treat other health related problems. VitalCheck itself is not a licensed medical practice; licensed physicians and other clinical providers deliver the clinical care and are exclusively in control of and responsible for all clinical aspects of the healthcare services. As Administrative Agent for the Program, VitalCheck provides both Program clients and healthcare providers access to its proprietary technology, know-how, processes and techniques, and other administrative services including managing administrative logistics, facilitating scheduling, and collecting and processing payments. Requirements
- MD or DO degree.
- Clean active license to practice in the state of Texas.
- Active BLS/ ACLS certification required.
- Board certification in specialty.
- Minimum 3-5 years of work experience following post graduate training.
- Focused on preventive medicine and patient education.
- Proficient with computers, customer service-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Personal laptop or tablet required.
- Must be able to reliably commute to Mesquite, TX and/or Lewisville, TX.
Nice To Haves
- Background in family practice and preventive care preferred.
- Background in urgent care or emergency care will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Provide general wellness checkups.
- Consult with patients to understand their health concerns.
- Advise/refer patients for follow-up care.
- Provide telemedicine services for lab review follow-ups.
- Provide chronic disease management to patients based on our program guideline.
- Educate patients around healthy eating and lifestyle.
- Prescribing chronic disease management medications.
