Requirements

• Active Texas medical license.
• Internal Medicine Board Certified or Board Eligible.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency.

Responsibilities

• Responding to ER calls and admitting patients in the assigned hospital(s) from 7pm to 7am.
• Staying in house for the duration of the shift.
• Managing all calls regarding admissions to Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center.
• Efficiently managing patients in the hospital and interacting with specialists to coordinate care.
• Transitioning follow-up care to the daytime hospitalist safely and effectively.
• Participating in hospital committees, initiatives, and KSC Hospital Service/IM Department activities.
