About The Position

Perform venipuncture, arterial puncture, and capillary blood collection on patients of all ages. Verify patient identity and ensure accurate labeling of all specimens. Maintain specimen integrity by following proper collection, handling, and transportation procedures. Assist with processing and preparing specimens for laboratory analysis. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all infection control, safety, and confidentiality policies and procedures. Provide excellent customer service and compassionate care to patients. Maintain accurate documentation and records of procedures performed. Communicate effectively with patients, nursing staff, and laboratory personnel.

Requirements

• Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the U.S.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• A minimum of six (6) months of previous phlebotomy experience required.
• Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards.
• Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for own professional advancement.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program preferred.
