About The Position

St. Luke's University Health Network, the region's largest and most established health system, is seeking a passionate per diem BC/BE Pediatric Pulmonologist to join our dedicated team of physicians providing excellent care at St. Luke's University Health Network/St. Luke's Children's Hospital. The pediatrics department is expanding its services, and we are looking for providers who are excited about growth and new opportunities. The Division of Pediatric Pulmonology currently consists of an experienced pediatric pulmonologist, a dedicated pediatric respiratory therapist, and a nurse for comprehensive patient education. In 2023, St. Luke's announced the establishment of St. Luke's Children's Hospital at the Bethlehem Campus, reflecting our commitment to pediatric services and our membership in the Children's Hospital Association. The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit is an 8-bed unit that opened in February 2020, staffed by critical care intensivists and specially trained pediatric nurses. It receives admissions from the Network's 12 hospital campuses and is adjacent to the 17-bed Inpatient Pediatric Unit, allowing for easy transfer and collaboration. The new Pediatric Emergency Department, currently a 6-bed unit, will expand to 11 beds upon completion of ongoing construction. This unit is supported by a growing team of pediatric specialists across 40 specialty areas, including pulmonology, and is conveniently located at St. Luke's Pediatric Specialty Center, the region's only freestanding building dedicated entirely to pediatric services. Joining St. Luke's University Health Network means enjoying substantial compensation and a rich benefits package, including malpractice insurance, health and dental insurance, and a CME allowance. We prioritize work/life balance and flexibility, and our culture values innovation. There are opportunities for professional support and growth within the network, as well as teaching, research, quality improvement, and strategic development opportunities. Founded in 1872, St. Luke's is a fully integrated, regional, non-profit network with over 18,000 employees providing services at 14 campuses and more than 300 outpatient sites. Our commitment to advancing medical education is evident through our partnerships and programs, including the Lehigh Valley's first and only four-year medical school campus and the nation's longest continuously operating School of Nursing.
