About The Position

The Per Diem Patient Care Representative in Radiology is responsible for greeting, scheduling, meeting, and registering patients in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner. This role involves answering and routing telephone calls and messages, coordinating insurance verifications and pre-authorizations, and maintaining medical records. The representative prepares charts and paperwork for all Medical Imaging modalities, accurately registers patients, and effectively places orders for these modalities. A working knowledge of Epic is necessary, and the representative monitors the waiting area while communicating with clinical staff regarding patient readiness. Additionally, assistance is provided to physicians, Department Managers, and clinical staff as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
• 1 Year Office/Clerical Experience Required.
• 1 Year Healthcare Field Experience Required.
