About The Position

The Per Diem Ophthalmic Assistant at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic is responsible for providing direct patient care in the Ophthalmology department, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients and their families in accordance with legal, organizational, and professional standards. This role is essential in supporting the clinical team and enhancing patient experiences in a medical clinic environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year previous work experience under an Ophthalmologist/Optometrist or Graduate of an approved vision technology school required.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Knowledge of ophthalmology procedures and equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of previous work experience under an ophthalmologist/optometrist preferred.
  • Certified as COA, CPO or obtain within 1 year of employment preferred.
  • Windows based computer skills preferred.
