Per Diem Nurse Practitioner (Dermatology)
About The Position
VitalCheck Wellness, as an independent contractor, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner with dermatology experience to provide skin cancer screenings and general dermatological evaluations onsite at a private business in New York, NY. VitalCheck manages administrative logistics and facilitates scheduling, allowing clinicians to focus on patient care. This is an excellent opportunity to practice preventive and personalized medicine in a supportive, structured setting. About VitalCheck Wellness: VitalCheck Wellness partners with hospitals, independent medical practices and independent clinicians to bring preventive, primary and occupational care—wellness exams, chronic-condition check-ups, vaccinations—directly to employers onsite or via telemedicine. VitalCheck itself is not a medical practice; licensed physicians and other clinical providers deliver the clinical care and are exclusively in control of and responsible for all clinical aspects of the healthcare services, while VitalCheck handles the administration, technology and day-to-day clinic operations. Requirements
- Active clean Nurse Practitioner license to practice in New York.
- Active BLS/ ACLS certification required.
- Minimum 3-5 years of direct dermatology experience following post graduate training.
- A collaborating physician is necessary unless state requirements for independent/autonomous practice are met.
- Proficient with computers, customer service-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Patient education driven.
- Personal laptop or tablet required.
- Must be able to reliably commute to New York, NY.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced practice certification in dermatology (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Provide skin checks, skin cancer screenings.
- Consult with patients to understand their dermatological health concerns.
- Advise/ refer patients for follow-up care.
