Requirements

  • Unrestricted NP or PA licensure in the state of South Carolina.
  • Board certified.
  • Active and unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain prior to start.
  • 1+ years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Proficient computer skills including the ability to document medical information with written and electronic medical records.
  • Availability to work 24 hours per month, with expectations that 16 of the 24 hours/month could be during off-hours (after 5 pm, on weekends, and/or holidays).

  • Clinical experience working as a provider in an emergency medicine or urgent care setting.
  • Proven knowledge of health and patient care regulations.
  • Demonstrated fluency in EMR systems & technology.
  • Proven excellent communication skills.

  • Proven willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide treatment for minor illness and injuries including sore throat, sinus infections, colds, respiratory illness, influenza, stomach illness, rashes and skin infections, sprains and strains, initial fracture care, cuts, and burns.
  • Perform onsite lab tests and procedures such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, pulmonary function testing, echocardiograms, vascular ultrasounds, and various lab tests.
  • Work rotating shifts between two locations.
  • Document medical information using written and electronic medical records.
