About The Position

UCI Health is the clinical enterprise of the University of California, Irvine, and the only academic health system based in Orange County. UCI Health serves a region of nearly 4 million people in Orange County, western Riverside County, and southeast Los Angeles County. In this role, you will safely perform a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure sanitation of the hospital utilizing prescribed cleaning methods and procedures. You will utilize universal precautions and personal protective equipment as necessary to ensure both personal safety and to minimize the spread of infection. You will also accurately stock supplies and linen and use exceptional customer service in all interactions. This position reports to the Facility Services Supervisor and the Director of Facility Services.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates skills and knowledge necessary to safely perform a wide variety of cleaning tasks throughout the hospital.
  • One year work experience in a health care facility or hotel environment preferred.
  • Possesses the ability to read, write and understand English.
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
