Requirements

• At least two years as a Medical Assistant with phlebotomy experience
• Oncology experience preferred
• A warm and empathetic personality that is focused on exceptional patient care
• Ability to move quickly throughout shift and stand for long periods of time

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients timely and efficiently
• Taking vitals
• Reviewing medical and prescription drug history and accurately recording information into the EMR
• Drawing patients' blood in accordance to practice procedure and delivering to the in-house lab
• Facilitating the authorization of drug refills and providing prescription information to pharmacies
• Assisting with scheduling patients for future appointments
• Assisting and caring for patients in alignment with practice values and mission, practicing empathy and compassion at all times
• Performing regular administrative responsibilities such as scanning and medical record updating
• Other duties as assigned.
