About The Position

This position works on a clinical operations team providing clinical support to our providers while ensuring our patients have a safe and positive experience. Per-diem role offering Saturday and Sunday hours, ideal for candidates seeking weekend flexibility.

Requirements

  • Valid NYS LPN License or ATC BOC certification.
  • 2+ years experience in high volume medical office rooming patients preferred, not required.
  • EMR knowledge required, MEDENT preferred.
  • Manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • Corrected vision and hearing within normal range to observe and communicate with patients, providers, and staff.
  • Frequent reaching, stooping, squatting, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Extensive standing and walking required.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Position requires full range of body motion including ability to position and move patients.
  • Work environment may involve some exposure to hazards/physical risk.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in wound care, casting highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with clinical leadership to ensure smooth patient flow in the operational areas.
  • Perform clinical duties in all areas including Express, Cast Room, and pods.
  • Perform clinical duties such as the application and removal of casts, sutures, staples, braces.
  • Perform wound care and deliver patient education.
  • Respond to triages as needed or assigned in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Room patients, take vitals and history, update electronic medical chart as needed.
  • Update and maintain patient medical records, including visit details, insurance and contact information.
  • Service patient after visit with appropriate paperwork, schedule follow-up appointment, send out medical records as requested, and answer any patient inquiries.
  • Maintain exam rooms to appropriate regulatory standards.
  • Audit new patient charts.
  • Work as a team to replenish exam room and clinical supplies, including office supplies for designated area.
  • Train others as needed or directed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
